Hiring & Career Outlook

  • Current pilot hiring: Envoy is accepting applications from commercial and ATP-rated pilots, experienced Part 121 pilots, military aviators and Cadet Program participants.

  • 2026 hiring target: Envoy says it is hiring hundreds of employees across all work groups to support fleet growth, but it has not published a pilot-specific hiring target for 2026.

  • Minimum qualifications: First Officer applicants generally need 1,500 total hours, with reduced ATP minimums of 1,250, 1,000 or 750 hours available for qualifying university and military pilots. Applicants also generally need 50 hours of multiengine time.

  • Fleet growth: Envoy plans to grow its all-Embraer E170/E175 fleet to at least 214 aircraft by the end of 2027.

  • New aircraft deliveries: Envoy is adding 33 new E175 aircraft during 2026 and 2027, bringing its total fleet commitment to 171 E175s and 43 E170s.

  • Pilot bases: Envoy operates pilot bases in Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, Miami and Phoenix, sharing each location with American Airlines.

Pay Notes

  • Pilot Supply Premium: Eligible Envoy pilots receive a 50% hourly-pay premium through December 31, 2026. A $99 first-year FO rate therefore pays $148.50 per eligible hour.

  • Captain pay as a First Officer: After reaching 750 hours of qualifying Part 121.436 time, an FO may receive the Captain rate for their longevity while remaining an FO. This program is also scheduled through December 31, 2026.

  • Monthly guarantee: Lineholders receive a 72-hour guarantee, while reserve pilots receive 75 hours.

  • Pay protections: Pilots receive the greater of scheduled or actual block time, 100% deadhead pay, a 1:2 duty rig and a 1:4 trip rig. Qualifying cancellations, reassignments and junior assignments are pay protected.

  • Premiums and per diem: Holiday flying pays 150%. Per diem is $1.95 per hour, plus $5 for qualifying international or continuous-duty overnights.

  • 401(k) match: The maximum company match increases with service—3.5% in Years 1–4, 5.25% in Years 5–9, 6.4% in Years 10–14, 7% in Years 15–19 and 8% beginning at Year 20.

  • Time off: Vacation increases from one week in Year 1 to two weeks in Year 2, three weeks in Year 7 and four weeks in Year 14. PTO accrues at 2.5 hours per month, up to 300 hours.

  • Training and commuting: New-hire training generally lasts nine to ten weeks and includes pay, per diem and single-occupancy lodging. Envoy also provides up to four company-paid commuter hotel stays per month.

  • Overall compensation: Envoy’s strongest features are the temporary 50% premium, Captain-rate pay for qualifying FOs, 72- to 75-hour guarantees, full deadhead pay, strong duty and trip rigs and a longevity-based 401(k) match.
